“The island is absolutely phenomenal!  There are two spacious cabins, a sauna cabin and the screened room, called the tea room. There are two docks and a great fire pit area. The swimming beach was great, very sandy and not too deep if you have small children. The property easily accommodated our group of nine, +2 dogs. I highly recommend booking Great Northern Island. Also, the fishing was great. Chris, the owner was very responsive to all of our questions, and communicated with us very quickly! The island was beyond our expectations!” – Jenny – July 2018

“We stayed here with my husband‘s extended family, including five under the age of two! We had a great time and there is lots of room with the little ones to safely roam about. Chris was very helpful with setting up our stay and figuring out which items we would need to keep the Littles safe. The cabins were nicer than pictured and the Tea house was beautiful. We were able to enjoy a nice thunderstorm out there and not get wet at all. We also rented the boat which was nice. There is a riding lawn more with the trailer at the dock to help you get all of your stuff up to the cabins which was very helpful. We had a great stay! – Jennifer in June 2018.

“First of all, the pictures don’t do the place justice.  the great Northern Island is borderline luxury lake-House. There are two immense cabins near the center of the island, each with its own kitchen, fireplace, toilet bathroom, bedroom and loft sleeping area. Close by is a screened in hang out Cabin. There is a sauna, gazebo, a beautiful fire pit area, and every yard game you can imagine and the manicured lawn to play them all at the same time. The beach area is fantastic;  A short sandy area before a nice drop off to the swimming raft(I spent most of my island time in this area).. The lake is great for fishing too, a lot of nice structure on the shorelines. I literally cannot wait to get back to the great northern Island!
