18’ square screen area with comfortable wicker furniture and woodstove and is decorated in an eclectic fashion with African animal masks and other memorabilia. People rave about How comfortable and enjoyable the space is. 

Main Cabin

This beautiful building built by Amish artisans was floated across the lagoon and built eleven years ago by local craftsmen. Inside there are historical treasures of the Great Northern Railroad artifacts that will tickle your fancy and educate the future generations about our nations history. 

Guest Cabin

This is the gathering spot for meal times because it has a large gathering area inside and a deck area with two picnic tables right off the kitchen for convenient meals

Sauna Cabin

The hand crafted cedar sauna features a sitting room and a cedar sauna with a electric sauna heater where you can splash water to raise the temperature and humidity.

Gazebo

The gazebo stores many of our outdoor games.

Great Northern Island

The land was once owned by The Great Northern Railroad Corporation in the westward expansion of James J Hill’s Railroad. The main cabin is decorated with railroad memorabilia and antiques to show kids of all ages an amazing time in our nation’s history. There is a life size mountain goat named “Rocky” on the east point where we take photos for our memories.

Fire Pit
Twenty feet from the waters edge and is a gathering spot for everyone in the evenings. Usually any breeze blows the mosquitoes off the island. Fire wood is available, for larger fires wood is available at a reasonable price.
